BIBLE STUDY HELPS
=================
1. Use the matching abilities of PC-HYPERTEXT to find words in the
actual file you currently using with the ALT-F key. More
occurrences of the same word can be found using the ALT-N key.
2. Mark those sections you would like to view later with the F-5 key.
This can be done in the REF file list if you prefer or the actual
file you are currently viewing.
3. Immediately access any verse by using the GOTO command. Type the
name of the book, one space, hyphen, the verse number, and the
Enter key. For instance, press G (the GOTO command) and type
Matt01 -21. PC-NEW TESTAMENT will immediately jump to Matthew 1:21.
4. Enter any cross-reference by typing the verse in angle brackets.
Entering <Matt01 -21> would be a reference to jump to that same verse.
5. Use the match function of the program to have a written access to
any particular word search in PC-HYPERTEXT format and then search the
file "MATCHI". If you want to keep a permanent record of this search
for future studies, make sure you copy MATCHI and rename the new file.
Otherwise, the MATCHI file will be overwritten the next time the
search program is invoked. Also, if no string is inserted and the
return key pressed without an entry, got to the INPUT file and start
the search as the MATCHI file will be written over and have 0 bytes.
6. Use the option setting to change the screen colors and to make your
word processor can be invoked with the ALT-E key. Make sure you are
in a non-document mode or that your word processor writes in ASCII
without any additional characters.
